[배드민턴코리아] 경북(김천시청)이 단·복식의 고른 활약에 힘입어 경남(밀양시청)을 제압하고 우승을 차지했다. 11일 대구시 계명대학교 체육관에서 열린 ‘제93회 전국체육대회 배드민턴 남자일반부’ 결승전에서 경북은 경남을 3-0으로 완파했다.
1단식에서 국가대표 손완호(경북)가 전으뜸(경남)을 상대로 2-0(21-18 21-18) 완승을 거두었고, 2단식에서는 장영수(경북)가 허훈회(경남)를 2-0(21-9 21-8)으로 완전히 제압했다.
1, 2단식을 모두 이기며 단식 선수들이 활약하자 복식 선수들도 분위기를 이어갔다. 1복식에 국가대표 고성현-신백철 조가 출전한 경북은 이재진-홍인표 조가 나선 경남을 2-0(21-12 21-18)으로 이겨 승부에 마침표를 찍었다.
경북이 전국체육대회 단체전 남자일반부에서 우승을 차지한 것은 2005년 이후 7년만의 일이다. 또한 올해 봄철리그전과 전국체육대회를 동시에 석권하면서 남자일반부의 최강자로 다시 떠올랐다.
